Comcast DVR

Already went and got one, there are no HDMI hookups on the box, I've got this thing running through cables and I cant seem to figure out what is going on. I have no picture, no clue what channel or output to put the tv on and am pretty much lost. Any help would be appreciated.

Some of the DVR's I have hooked up for people had the HDMI, at least the HD DVR does that is the only one's I have seen.

What color were the cables that you hooked up?

Thats the one I got, it's just regular a/v cables.

The Red, white & yellow or the componet cables- red, blue green, red & white??
If it doesn't have an HDMI you should at least upgrade to the componet cables.

Red, White, and Yellow. Problem is when I hook them up to the tv no picture comes through.

What input did you put it in on the TV?

What input or channel do you have the TV set to?

How many different imputs does the TV have (cable, R/W/Y cables, S-Video)?

I had to get an s-video adapter to get mine to work. It was a [censored] to finally get everything figured out. I moved my entertainment center to the other side of the room and it was a nightmare again. Best of luck and have fun.

4 hours later the damn thing finally works. I ended up going to wally world and buying and buying some other cables. Evidently comcast forgot to give the cables to me. BTW, if you ever have to call comcast good luck.

Sounds like what I went through when they were still Adelphia. Glad you got it sorted out. I hope you don't have to move it or unhook everything for any reason.
